We took the day and did some sightseeing. We drove to Jamestown to see the old fort, to Yorktown to see the old battlefields and Williamsburg to walk the old town and have lunch. So much history to see. Of course, Captain Jeff wanted to read every thing he saw and it took a long time getting through so of this. It's really to bad that we can't do this kind of thing when we are in school because it would make it so much more interesting. These pics are from the battlefield when on Oct 19, 1781 Washington ordered all the British soldiers to march from Yorktown. As they paraded by, many of the locals were there to see them. The smaller pic is of the battlefield today. Off to the right is the road the soldiers marched on.
