Yep, that's a gator! He was swimming right off our swim platform and it kind of gaves you a weird feeling in the pit of your stomach. They say he is about 7-8 feet long and just showed up. The have called the DNR to relocate him. One of the guys says he (gator) likes being around people to much and he is afraid the gator might jump onto the shore if a small child or dog got to close (no cat! Frizz is banned to the interior of the boat). You really appreciate the grace this guy has in the water but to be honest, it scares me. We called an Italian restaurant tonight and they picked us up, ushered us straight to our reserved table and we had a wonderful meal. We then went next door to the grocery for a few supplies, went back to the restaurant, the owner pulled his car around and took us and our groceries back to the marina. What service. The weather here is perfect. We even caught a few rays today.
