6-29-10 Tuesday

Our Views from our marina in Charleston. First, the Ravenel Bridge that is the largest cable design in North America and across from us is aircraft carrier USS Yorktown. We spent the day being chauffeured around Charleston by Bob, Jeff's brothers brother-in-law. There was so much to see. This is the oldest city in South Carolina with Bufford being the second. Like any old town, they have their tourist traps but with Bob showing us around, we were able to see all of the old homes, get some history of them and the city as well as see an old fort and an old church that a private family turned into a castle and now lives there. After they dropped us off at the boat for a rest before we met them for supper, we got to talking and I wanted to get some pics of the old buildings so, we walked and walked and walked a little more until we ended up at Bob's house. Had a nice supper and visit together. Tomorrow we will see a little more than head out. More lightening but so far no rain. Hot...high 90's. P.S. Today was Jeff's b-day.
