7-1-10 Thursday

We ended up closing the boat last night around 11:00 because of storms. We did not turn on the generator and boy did it get hot in here. We finally pulled anchor around 7:30, opened the doors and ran up to Georgetown, the 3rd oldest city in S.C. Most of the day was overcast, rain and a little sunshine. At 1:30 we tied off at the city dock and walked around the town looking at the homes and went through one of the museums. There was a gator at the pier where we had supper. Kind of scary thinking of them being in the same water that the boat is in. Not a whole lot in this town. Quaint but that's about all.This pic was one we took in Thunderbolt. You do a double take when you see the boats in what looks like field. There really is a small channel back to this boat. Well, tonight we are on a hook again in the Sampit River which is next to the river front of Georgetown. We are hoping the tide charts are correct because if not, we will have trouble in the morning. We have set the depth finder at 3' so if it goes off at low tide, we will need to get moving. No matter what time it is. Here's hoping.
