Still in Montreal. After walking around a bit, we found this was Grand Prix week here. They have parties and celebrations down town, We got bus passes for $8.00 and rode around town. Went to a French Music Festival downtown in the evening. Rode subway back toward the marina. Still had about 6 blocks to walk. Second pic is of a swing bridge on the St. Lawrence. Third pic is of the phone booth at the locks that you have to use to call the lock master and the first pic is of an old church (right side) among all the new buildings. The buildings we a mix of old and new. Tall and small.
Most people could speak some English. We asked and found it was not taught in schools. They prefer French and believe that it should be the launage spoke. The amound of French I know(some), we are in trouble. The amount Captain knows, we are really in trouble.
