We pulled anchor from our quiet, perfect night. We work to fog and just waited it out. We had a great day with beautiful weather. We are running alone now. Most are behind us. Tonight we decided to drop a hook at mile 16.6 on a creek called Big Buyou Canot. It had a current running about 4 mph and rising. A fishjerman told us it us going up about a foot every night still from IDA. So, Captain Jeff got the dingy out, rowed (and it wasn't easy) to a tree and tied off the back of the boat. We also dropped the hook at the front. We didn't move all night! My hero!!!! The owls make a crying sound and there were a lot of other sounds that I had never heard before like birds and who knows what. We are now in gator country but haven't seen any. It was very very dark out there. Very dark!
